Dr. Wire offers various facial cosmetic surgery procedures at his Chaska practice, serving all of Minneapolis. A facelift is a procedure that smoothes lines and wrinkles around the face and jaw, while tightening skin that sags as a result of age. The result is a more youthful-looking, rested facial appearance.
Another facial cosmetic procedure available to our patients is eyelid surgery. Individuals over the age of forty tend to experience drooping eyelids, which may cause them to appear tired and aged. Eyelid surgery corrects sagging upper and lower eyelids, resulting in a refreshed, rejuvenated face. The procedure is performed while the patient is under general or local anesthesia; the method employed depends in part on the patient. Incisions are placed at either at the crease of the upper eyelid, or below the lash line of the lower eyelids, and any excess fat and skin around the eyes is removed.
Often performed in conjunction with a facelift, neck lift surgery addresses any sagging, aged skin on the neck. Dr. Wire may recommend a neck lift for patients with jowls, a “turkey waddle,” or a double chin. The procedure is typically performed using local anesthesia, and is intended to target the skin of the neck and its underlying muscle. Incisions are placed inconspicuously behind the ear, which results in no visible scarring.
A mini-facelift, popular among our Minneapolis patients, is a facial cosmetic procedure that targets only the areas of the face that require attention (such as the jawline). The procedure is generally performed using local anesthesia, which allows the patient to feel comfortable without being entirely asleep. Incisions are inconspicuously placed behind the ears, resulting in no visible scarring. Patients appreciate a quick recovery time.
